About
I grew up in Detroit and Farmington Hills as the granddaughter of Greek immigrants. My father, a first-generation U.S. citizen and university student, graduated from U-M Ann Arbor in 1972. I followed in his footsteps and graduated from U-M Ann Arbor in 1994. During my undergraduate career, I marched with a sousaphone in the MMB (including at two Rose Bowls, a Hall of Fame Bowl, and a Gator Bowl). I graduated with a degree in biology from LSA.
I later earned my teaching certificate and Master's degree from Eastern Michigan University and taught middle school math and science for 13 years at Milan Middle School.
I returned to the University of Michigan in 2018 as the Graduate Program Coordinator in the Department of Mathematics and began my service to the History Department in July 2023.
I am the proud mother of 3 strong women, doting Yiayia of 3 grandchildren, and devoted partner to MMB Drum Major 36, Jeff Stokes.
