Anna Forringer-Beal graduated in 2016 with a double major in Honors Anthropology and Women's Studies.  While at U-M, Anna conducted extensive research with Prof. Jason De Leon (Anthropology) on the Undocumented Migration Project, traveling to field sites in the American southwest and in Mexico.  Her collaboration on this project has resulted in several professional conference presentation and a forthcoming co-authored publication with Prof. De Leon.  Anna also served as a coordinator and trainer with the Sexual Assault and Prevention Awareness Center (SAPAC) and as an Honors RA; she was a facilitator for Student Life Relationship Remix sessions and worked with Vice President Royster Harper to create the Culture Shift sexual violence awareness workshops; and she was a fellow in the Barger Leadership Institute.  Anna was a finalist for the Truman Scholarship in 2015 and received the Beinecke Scholarship to support her future PhD work in Anthropology.
