The Department of Communication and Media offers many kinds of events, most free and open to the public. We organize and sponsor numerous lectures, workshops and conferences over the course of the academic year. Our programming covers a wide range of topics and features presenters from diverse disciplines and is designed to foster an understanding of the mass media and emerging media.


DISCO Graduate Scholar Lightning Talks

Each DISCO Graduate Scholar will give a “lightning talk” on their research affiliated with their DISCO Network lab.

The DISCO Graduate Scholars Program is designed for graduate student researchers committed to developing interdisciplinary work in collaboration with our Co-Principal Investigators and postdoctoral fellows.

We want to make our events accessible to all participants. This online event will have CART and provided.
