The Department of Communication and Media offers many kinds of events, most free and open to the public. We organize and sponsor numerous lectures, workshops and conferences over the course of the academic year. Our programming covers a wide range of topics and features presenters from diverse disciplines and is designed to foster an understanding of the mass media and emerging media.
Digital Studies Panel
Irina Aristarkhova, Justin Joque, Maria Cotera, Anne Cong-Hyuen, and (tentatively) Lisa Nakamura
This will be a relatively open and improvisational conversation about the variety of research that Digital Studies faculty do, and more importantly how they do this work. Our goal is to let students and participants think broadly about different approaches they could take to studying the digital and digitality.
