Biophysics Centers:
NMR instruments are available for use by University of Michigan researchers and students, other academic institutions, and governmental and private entities.
SMART Center (Single Molecule Analysis in Real-Time)
The goal of the SMART Center is to develop a university-wide initiative in the emerging area of single molecule technology. This includes single molecule spectroscopy (SMS) and imaging (SMI), laser tweezers (LT), and atomic force microscopy (AFM), and can bring basic scientists, engineers, and clinical researchers together to apply this technology to the most relevant questions in medicine and nanotechnology.
