About
Timothy Arvan is a student in the joint Ph.D. program between the Department of Political Science and Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. He also serves as Research Officer and Associate Fellow of the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law (CISDL), based in Montreal, Canada. Tim’s research explores questions of international environmental politics, with an emphasis on climate change governance. He has closely followed and engaged with international climate negotiations for several years, leading U-M's observer delegation to UNFCCC COP24 in Katowice, Poland as Director of Climate Blue, and serving on the Secretariat of the UNFCCC Climate Law and Governance Initiative for COP25 in Madrid, Spain and COP26 in Glasgow, UK.
Tim's research is currently supported by CISDL and Ford School fellowships, and project funding from the U-M International Policy Center and Weiser Diplomacy Center.
