Carly Wayne (PhD, U-M Political Science, 2019) has just been awarded the best dissertation prize from the International Society of Political Psychology (ISPP) for her dissertation entitled, "Risk or Retribution: The Microfoundations of State Responses to Terror." The dissertation was advised by Yuri Zhukov (chair), Nick Valentino, Jim Morrow, Ted Brader, and John Ciorciari.

Carly was also an honorable mention for the ultra-competitive Rackham ProQuest prize this year.

Carly Wayne is an Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department at Washington University in St. Louis. Her research and teaching lie at the intersection of international relations, conflict, and behavioral approaches to politics.
