Community Development Leader, Sheldon Johnson

Sheldon Johnson (LSA ‘08) brings over 20 years of experience as a problem solver. As a student at U-M, he blazed his own path by creating his own major, combining his interests of African American Studies, Political Science, and Education before going on to pursue a double Master of Public Policy and Master of Divinity from Duke. Throughout his career, he has helped a variety of mission-based organizations solve complex problems, make progress on their goals, and impact the community around them. Currently, Sheldon serves as the Vice President of Community Development at Community Building Partners in Columbus, OH, where he works to develop innovative affordable housing solutions. Join us for an enriching conversation with Sheldon about pursuing purpose, the importance of serving others, and a peek into the world of community development and nonprofit leadership.
