The Hub Presents: What Does Virtual Professionalism Look Like?

Thursday, June 4, 2020
3:00-4:00 PM
VIRTUAL Off Campus Location
“How do I navigate my internship or job when the entire experience is virtual?”

COVID-19, amongst many things, has changed the way we work and engage in the workplace. As video, phone, and email rapidly replace face-to-face interactions for the time being, it’s important for us to consider how this digital-first approach to communications affects our perceptions about professionalism.

This webinar will highlight best practices for working remotely including insights and advice on time management and setting up productive workspaces at home. Facilitators will also provide tips on how to integrate positive health and well-being strategies into remote work routines. Lastly, the webinar will include information on how to communicate effectively across a range of digital platforms and how to maintain a professional digital identity.

You should attend this webinar if you are:
- A liberal arts and/or sciences (LSA) student
- Working or interning virtually this summer
- Looking to become a highly effective communicator in this online landscape
- Interested in understanding best practices for working remotely

What you’ll gain by attending:
- Explore tried-and-true ways to building relationships and community virtually
- Learn about practices that support personal well-being while working from home
- Discover strategies for communicating effectively across a range of digital platforms.
