Ittai Orr

Ittai Orr specializes in the literature of the Americas to 1864, Native American Studies, and Disability Studies. He is currently at work on a book project tentatively titled American Intelligences: Varieties of Mind Before IQ, which investigates various models of mental ability and disability that were eclipsed by the invention of IQ and intelligence testing at the end of the 19th Century. He has written for Public Books, ASAP/J, Synapsis, The Washington Post, and American Quarterly.
