The Simons Fellows programs in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics provide funds for faculty to extend sabbatical leaves from one term to a full year, enabling recipients to focus solely on research for the long periods often necessary for significant advances. The foundation is proud to support the work of these distinguished scientists. Professor Doering plans to continue his studies of nonlinear dynamics, fluid mechanics and turbulence during his 2021/22 sabbatical. Congratulations Charlie on this well deserved honor!
