Cuban composer-pianist-bandleader Omar Sosa, known for uniting a variety of musical traditions using Afro-Cuban rhythms as the glue, performs with his ensemble Saturday night at Kerrytown Concert House.

"Sosa's music is the unifying sort, yoking together Africa and jazz and Latin America and hip-hop, writes Ben Ratliff, New York Times. “He makes it work, being one of those rare birds whose keyboard skills are near those of Chick Corea or Chucho Valdes."

Omar Sosa plays shows at 7 and 9p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at Kerrytown Concert House, 415 N. Fourth Ave. Tickets are $30-$5. Details and reservations at www.kerrytownconcerthouse.com or 734-769-2999.
