Majors: German and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology
Hi, my name is Audry and I am a senior majoring in German and MCDB intending to go to graduate school for molecular biology. I began learning German in middle school but had a two year gap before starting 300-level German at the university. Originally not a German major, I fell in love with the program and spent two months last summer studying at the Goethe Institute in Dresden and Schwäbisch-Hall.
In my free time I compete on the UM ballroom dance team and research in the Csankovszki lab, working on writing an MCDB honors thesis on chromosome condensation in C. elegans. I also enjoy running and buying all the German books at the Dawn Treader. Feel free to reach out with any questions, including about upper level German classes, balancing multiple majors with research work, and studying abroad!
