The U-M Copernicus Program in Polish Studies and the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures are offering scholarships of $1000 for Polish language study at the University of Michigan during the 2017-18 academic year.

Eligibility Criteria:

Open to all U-M undergraduate students studying the Polish language at U-M for one academic year. The following criteria must be fulfilled:

  • Two consecutive terms of the appropriate Polish language sequence;
  • Courses must be taken in Fall 2017 AND Winter 2018; and
  • Students must receive a grade of B- or better in both courses.
Students may apply twice for this scholarship. Preference will be given to first-time applicants.

Application Deadline:

Students must apply by the end of the first week of Fall term to be considered for the 2017-18 academic year scholarship.

Interested students should complete the application.

Review Process:

Applications are reviewed by a selection committee; students will be notified of the academic year scholarship in mid-September. Scholarships will be disbursed at the completion of the Winter term, after grades have been submitted and evaluated.
