Scott Greer, associate professor of health management and policy, was quoted in a story by U.S News about the political standoff over the repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act.

In the article titled "The Obamacare Standoff", Greer illustrates that experts agree that Republicans are in a more difficult postion now, saying, "Now the Democrats get to be on the side that says this other party's plan is going to take away what you have. The politics work better. Fear is a strong motivator."

He continues to say, "If I were them I'd find a way to symbolically get rid of the ACA without doing much. Convince conservatives you've repealed the ACA without doing danger to patients and insurers and health care providers. Find a way to make this issue go away."
