Ronald Inglehart, Amy and Alan Lowenstein Professor in Democracy, Democratization, and Human Rights was recently featured in an article by The Washington Post.

The article discusses how younger generations are usually more apathetic about politics, however Inglehart argues that the economy may have a lot to do with feelings of disaffection in the idea of democracy.

He continues to say, "that the millennial generation hit the job market just as the Great Recession was beginning. Economic insecurity tends to make people lose faith in the way their governments function."
