Canon Translation Journal is the University of Michigan’s online literary magazine dedicated to promoting and publishing undergraduate and graduate translation. Although we are based within the Comparative Literature department, we hope to draw students from all areas of the university. Submissions should include an MLA citation, the translation title, and a brief introduction. For more details, check out the Submission Guidelines on the Canon website.

Each year during Winter term, the Department of Comparative Literature invites graduating seniors across the University of Michigan to participate in the Senior Prize in Literary Translation. This prize is intended to encourage undergraduate students to develop translation projects through translating into English a literary text originally written in another language.
