3:00-4:30 pm              Afternoon panel: “Bear River at 20, MQR at                                       60, and What Lies Ahead.” In the spirit of “the                                       more, the merrier,” we’d like to celebrate two                                       milestones: Bear River’s 20th anniversary                                       and Michigan Quarterly Review’s 60th                                       anniversary. The first half of the panel will                                       include a discussion with three of MQR’s                                       current editors: Khaled Mattawa, H. R.                                       Webster, and Polly Rosenwaike. The second                                       half will feature a reading by the conference’s                                       director emeritus Keith Taylor. There might be                                       cake! (Also: bring your own cake.)
