Aaron Towne

Aaron Towne's research interests revolve around developing both data-driven and physics-based models that can be used to understand, predict, and control turbulent fluid dynamical systems. This work draws on ideas from physics, applied mathematics, statistics, and dynamical systems and control theory. Areas of application include aerodynamics, aeroacoustics, hydrodynamics, and power generation. A recurring theme in his work is a close coupling between basic theory and experimental and numerical data.
