Teaching is an important element of the American Culture doctoral program and graduate student instructor (GSI) positions in courses taught by the Department are assigned first to American Culture graduate students and those in our affiliated programs. Consequently, we rarely recruit students from outside this pool. If we do have positions available, they will be advertised university-wide via the Academic Human Resources process.
