Over the summer, five former members of WISE RP traveled India with the Society of Women Engineers. During their two week stay, 13 delegates from the Society of Women Engineers visited Walchandnagar, India to run and facilitate a 5 day summer camp to teach interested 8th-12th grade students about science and engineering. The camp is held to promote engineering and hand on learning in secondary education setting.  Students were able to learn about various topics including aerodynamics, force analysis, solar power and renewable energy, and teamwork skills. The camp also included a social science activity similar to Model UN, a session specifically for female students, and sessions with teachers to compare teaching methods in India versus America. After the engineering summer camp, delegates traveled to Japiur, Agra, and Delhi for a week of sightseeing with highlights including touring the Taj Mahal and riding elephants in Japiur.
