Lecturer, Lead Instructor
About
As a veteran of the Applied Liberal Arts department, Praveen brings his expertise in student success to our ALA classes sponsored by the Opportunity Hub. Praveen manages our career education curriculum and teaches 250 students each semester on topics such as resume building, elevator pitches, finding internships, exploring purpose, and integrating liberal arts into careers.
Praveen believes a liberal arts degree is crucial in social change and social progress. The future is uncertain, and we need leaders that can critically think, embrace multicultural perspectives, and imagine new possibilities. LSA alums are leading this movement and growth would not be possible without liberal art degrees. In 2023, Praveen was awarded the Inclusive Teaching Grant to explore equity-based research on artificial intelligence in career learning. He will also continue his research around abolitionist pedagogy, social change, and innovation.
