Honors DEI Award

About the Honors DEI Award

Honors students frequently express general interest in social justice and many of you are already pursuing DEI oriented learning and community engagement. The Honors Program is committed to supporting and recognizing your efforts. We invite all Honors students to deepen their learning and involvement by voluntarily pursuing the Honors DEI Award.

Criteria

  • Take any TWO Race and Ethnicity (RE) courses. Find designated RE courses in the LSA Course Guide.
  • Complete at least one semester of our Honors DEI engagement activity (offered every Fall/Winter and advertised in our This Week in Honors newletter).
  • Participate in a pre-approved experiential/community-based learning opportunity.
  • Complete a final written reflection.

For additional details about these criteria and to track your progress, visit the Honors DEI Award (HDEIA) Canvas page where you'll be prompted to self-enroll.

Eligibility

All Honors students, at any stage during their undergraduate career, are eligible. We strongly recommend that you begin working toward the HDEI Award prior to your final year.
