NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
3/15/2021: We had enormous turnout for the priority deadline to apply for NELP 2021. At this time, we have a full cohort of 40 students and a long waitlist of excellent candidates who are eagerly awaiting news about openings; the NELP applicaiton is now closed for this year. Please consider applying in January for NELP 2022!
2/27/2021: The Priority Deadline for NELP 2021 has passed, and we're conducting interviews on Friday, March 5. If you get all of your application materials in by 3/5 and email NELP Director Aric Knuth (email@example.com) asap, we might be able to squeeze you in. Otherwise, we'll be accepting applications and admitting students on a rolling basis when and as spots are available.
2/2/2021: The NELP 2021 Application is LIVE! The deadline for priority consideration is February 26, after which we'll accept students on a rolling basis until all 40 spots this spring are filled and/or in order to add intereted students applying later to the NELP waitlist.
1/29/2021: BIG NEWS! We've been approved to have an in-person NELP this spring!! There will be some necessary changes to how we do things, and 2021 NELPers will be required to commit to a rigorous 10-day, pre-program self-quarantine (as well as COVID-testing before and during the program), but the U has agreed that, with some adjustments, we can have a more-or-less normal NELP--living in cabins, cooking and cleaning for each other, taking trips into the wilderness... We're so isolated from the rest of the world in our little woodland community for those 45 days; we just need to get everyone out there safe and healthy--and we've got a plan for that! Stay tuned for more information coming soon re: the timeline for the 2021 application (which isn't up yet), specific program dates, and upcoming informational meetings.
