About

Emily manages the curriculum for the bi-weekly seminar designed to supplement the research undergraduate students conduct. Emily oversees program-wide retention and assessment efforts. Emily coordinates the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of over 45 UROP Peer Facilitators. Additionally, Emily serves as the lead for the Women and Gender Summer Fellowship Program (WAGSFP). Emily is supported by her family; husband Sean, daughter Charley, and two dogs (Walt and Luna).

Emily is currently pursuing a doctorate degree from Ball State University. Emily’s research interests center on the experiences of African American STEM students during the COVID-19 global pandemic and anti-Black pandemic in the year 2020
