UMMAA collections manager Andrea Blaser and UMMAA illustrator Bruce Worden discuss a collection of items: some are tools used for processing agave and some are items made from agave. These items were collected by former UMMAA curator Jeff Parsons between 1984 and 1987 in Hidalgo, Mexico. Dr. Parsons and Mary Parsons wrote a book on the use of agave in central Mexico: Maguey Utilization in Highland Central Mexico.
