Join the Museum Studies Program for a guided tour of the exhibition “A Gathering,” currently on display at U-M Museum of Art (UMMA), on Friday, March 22, at noon in the Frankel Wing entry lobby.

The works on view in this exhibition, all brought into the Museum of Art between 2019 and the present, shows how institutions like UMMA are becoming more permeable to societal challenges, and more nimble in responding to them in service to all in their communities. In this exhibition you will find works that reflect on how global migrations, race, gender, and ecological change shape the way we engage with the world and inform our visions for the future.

The tour will be led by the curator of the exhibit, Félix Zamora Gómez (MSP16), Irving Stenn, Jr. Fellow in Public Humanities & Museum Pedagogy.

Register in advance for the tour (space is limited). (https://myumi.ch/eg6wW)
