The final event for ReConnect/ReCollect will be held on Friday, December 8, 2-4 p.m. at the Hatcher Gallery Event Space (Hatcher Library North, first floor, Room 100). The event will feature the soft launch of the group's website and toolkit and reflections on the last two years of developing decolonial and reparative approaches to the Philippine collections at the U-M. There will also be a screening of Filipino-American filmmaker Orlando de Guzman’s "Points of Origin," a short documentary that follows ReConnect/ReCollect’s efforts to bring artists and culture bearers into the collections, and copies of the collections to the Philippines.
