Wayne State University's  First Fridays in Anthropology series continues on Friday, March 1, from 3-5 p.m. This event will feature three distinguished alumni of the WSU PhD program in anthropology--Dr. Angela Guy-Lee, Dr. Renady Hightower, and Dr. Gwendolyn Norman--who will engage in a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Andrea Sankar, professor of anthropology at WSU. This will be a terrific chance to learn about diverse career pathways in anthropology, with a special focus on the relevance of anthropology for careers in health and education and on the experiences of Black women anthropologists. Following the panel discussion, there will be an in-person reception.

This event will be held in person at Wayne State's Anthropology Library, Old Main 1224, and online via Zoom. Registration is required to attend via Zoom; please click here to register (https://wayne-edu.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJwpcu2spjMjHN1DD2sNSMwLOZnXVOwYlpAB#/registration). Registration is not required to attend in-person.

First Fridays are inviting, accessible introductions to anthropological research, with a focus on the significance of anthropology for the public. Please bring your colleagues, friends, and family--these talks are meant to be accessible to a broad audience. Looking forward to seeing you on Friday!
