The Michigan in Washington Winter 2011 cohort presented posters of research papers produced during its semester in DC on September 29 in the Eldersveld Room in Haven Hall. It was the first time that the cohort had been together since leaving DC, and is officially the last “class” of the Washington semester. Typically, friends, faculty and students interested in the program attend the poster session. This semester, students were honored to have University Provost Phil Hanlon, and the Associate Dean for Budgets, James Penner-Hahn come to discuss their research.

After sharing their research with visitors, students gathered for written and oral program evaluations and will now move on to their next adventures. A few of the students graduated last spring and now work in DC. Others are back on campus to complete their senior year.  Internship and research topics for the cohort appear below. Applications for the Fall 2012 and Winter 2013 cohorts will be accepted through February 24, 2012.
