About
Srishti Sankaranarayanan’s research focuses primarily on medieval South Asian art and architecture, and the literary, social, and political worlds in which medieval temples were embedded. In 2021, she received the Rackham International Student Fellowship to study the intersections between social order, space, and movement in medieval temples of south India and Southeast Asia. Her recent interests also include sculptures of composite animals and the design and construction of wooden temple chariots.
