FTVM is partnering with the Detroit Free Press's Freep Film Festival in 2021! The new Real Fresh documentary showcase and competition will spotlight top student documentaries from five Universities -- including the University of Michigan -- during the Freep Film Festival (Sept. 22-26, 2021), with in-person and virtual screenings. There will be prizes for the best films -- with the festival jury and the students themselves deciding the awards.
Production Faculty David Marek's Fall FTVM 301: Documentary I class's work will be entered into consideration for the festival.
