Language Resources

The ELI offers a range of language resources for members of the University of Michigan community who were raised or educated in a language other than English. 

Curated online Self Study e-Resources offer opportunities for language practice and cultural engagement.

ELI's Research Guide provides an entryway to the University of Michgan's Library resources for second language writers and speakers. 

Michigan Corpus of Spoken Academic English (MICASE), and the Michigan Corpus of Upper-Level Student Papers (MICUSP) are historically important collections of language used by scholars, teachers, and language students around the world for linguistic analysis, classroom activities, and materials development.

The Genre Archive is a collection of around one thousand papers dealing in nearly all cases with some aspect or aspects of non-literary genres.
