Overview

As the home for immersive leadership experiences at the University of Michigan, BLI’s travel experiences provide opportunities for students to connect, get inspired, and bring leadership concepts to life.

Spring Break 2024, the BLI is headed to Washington, DC, for an experiential leadership journey. As the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. is a vibrant place where the past, present, and future meet. Leaders assemble on Capitol Hill, national figures are honored in iconic monuments, and social movements gain visibility on the world stage.

On this trip, students will connect behind the scenes with community leaders and UM alumni in different contexts and experience the rich history and culture of Washington, DC, while gaining an unforgettable glimpse into this bustling city!

Where: Washington, D.C.

When: February 25 – February 29

Application:  Opens November 8 and closes on November 21

Eligibility: Any BLI Member is eligible to apply for this experience and participation does not preclude you from future travel experiences. 

Cost: Food, lodging, and transportation are provided by the BLI. However, there may be 1 or 2 incidences where students will be asked to cover the cost of their lunch or breakfast
