Paulina L. Alberto continued the Eisenberg Institute's 2015-16 programs on October 15 with her lecture, "Lives and Afterlives of 'El Negro Raúl': Racial Stories in Twentieth-Century Argentina." Alberto is an associate professor in the Departments of History and Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Michigan.

Professor Alberto's talk is available online as an MP3 audio file to University of Michigan account holders (link here to access).

On October 16, the Institute held the symposium, "Your Dissertation's Future (and What It Means for Writing Your Dissertation Now)," featuring Deirdre de la Cruz, Jonathan McLaughlin, Alexa L. Pearce, and Charles Watkinson; the session was chaired by Nora Krinitsky.

These events were made possible by a generous contribution from Kenneth and Frances Aftel Eisenberg.
