Individual students, teams and registered student organizations may apply for up to $500 in funds for a project or event co-sponsorship. When reviewing grant submissions, we will prioritize the following:
- Events and activities that take place on campus (or within walking distance), or projects in which students are engaged in outreach activities with communities beyond campus;
- Projects and events of a collaborative nature;
- Projects and performances that integrate an educational component, helping to provide context for or knowledge about diverse performance practices;
- Projects and events that cultivate dialogue about performance practices, performance theory, and relevant topics in the field of Performance Studies, especially through the global perspective (ie. identity, liminality, text/narrative, ethnography, ritual, etc.)
We encourage innovation and originality in defining performance and encourage traditional and non-traditional projects and undertakings.
Note: CWPS funds cannot be used to pay student event organizers, or for door prizes/"give-aways." CWPS does not provide funds for costs associated with curricular projects, such as degree recitals or thesis projects. CWPS rolling grants cannot be used for individual travel / study abroad.
