Giving Opportunities

As the WISE RP continues to be dedicated to a creating dynamic and supportive community for students, we are always seeking additional resources to help them experience a successful academic transition to the university.  If you would like to contribute to WISE RP, consider the follow giving opportunities:

Summer Research Fellowship

Sponsor a WISE RP student’s summer research project with a University of Michigan faculty member in the sciences, engineering, mathematics, or health fields. Funding will be applied to work stipend, housing/living expenses. ($3500-$5000)

Leadership Development Series

Help us sponsor new leadership training sessions and workshops for our student leaders, including hosting speakers from industry and research. ($1000-$3000)

Room & Board Scholarships

WISE RP students who are selected to return to the program for a second year in important leadership roles often need assistance to cover the cost of their room and board. Assisting these students in financial need will give them the opportunity to remain an active participant of the program for another year and continue to take advantage of the academic benefits of the WISE RP. ($2500-$10,000)

Sponsor a Tutor

Help a student in need of additional assistance with introductory math, science, and engineering courses by connecting them with an individual tutor with specific expertise in the subject matter. ($250 per tutor)

Summer Internship in Michigan

Help a WISE RP student to have a valuable learning experience through a summer internship. Support will go to subsidizing a usually unpaid internship for our students. Preference will be given to students who locate internships within the state of Michigan. ($3500-$5000)
