Academic Calendar 2020-2021

Reserving Classrooms: LSA is finalizing the reservation system for students to use some of the smaller classrooms as study spaces during the week; in their current plan, students will also have access to common areas in buildings such as the LSA atrium, the first floor of Weiser Hall, and the Chemistry atrium from 8 am to 10 pm Monday through Friday. The LSA atrium will also be open 12 pm - 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday. They've removed some of the furniture from all of these spaces and put in signage to comply with social distancing and density guidelines. You can reserve a space here.

Library access: Click here to learn about library access during COVID.

Student Technology Resources: LSA has a site dedicated to technology resources with information for both graduate students and undergraduates. This includes information about technology loans (for instance laptops and hotspots with data pre-loaded).

Advising

For Fall 2020, CogSci advisors will be available virtually. You can see and sign up for available appointments here. When signing up for an advising appointment, you will have the option to select a “virtual” or “phone” format. Information on virtual platforms can be found in the “student alert” section of the appointment. If none of the available options work for you or you are unable to access the advising calendar, please request an appointment via email to Weinberg-Institute@umich.edu, and be sure to specify how you would like to be contacted.

If you are a student not located in the Eastern Daylight Time zone (EDT) and none of the listed advising appointments work for you, please email us at Weinberg-Institute@umich.edu to arrange an alternative time to meet. We want to make sure that you are able to get the advising you need!
