Cognitive Science Graduate Certificate Program

Cognitive Science is a fast-growing area of study that integrates explanations of mind, brain, and behavior from disciplines such as psychology, philosophy, linguistics, neuroscience, computer science, and linguistics. In order to apply to the Cognitive Science Graduate Certificate Program, the Weinberg Institute for Cognitive Science will need you to complete the steps below. Email the Cognitive Science Graduate Certificate Committee your completed application materials.

Applications for the Cognitive Science Graduate Certificate will be evaluated by the Weinberg Institute for Cognitive Science Graduate Certificate Committee. Applications will be accepted on a rolling admissions basis.

STEP 1: Submit Application, Transcripts, and Letter of Intent

Complete the Rackham Add a Degree or Certificate application online or download the pdf below to complete and submit a hard copy.

Submit a current, unofficial transcript. Provide a 1-4 paragraph Letter of Intent explaining your interests in cognitive science, and how a graduate certificate in cognitive science aligns with your career and academic goals.

All application materials are to be submitted to the Cognitive Science Graduate Certificate Committee - WICS-gradcertcomm@umich.edu.
