    The Detroit Community Based Research Symposium will feature student panel discussions and poster presentations on their work with 15 community based organizations in Detroit. We will also have Kirk Mayes, Deputy Group Executive of Jobs and Economies from the City of Detroit Mayor's Office speaking at the event. Before starting his work with the Mayor's office, Mr. Mayes served as the Executive Director of the Brightmoor Alliance and will be speaking about the challenges and opportunities for engagement in Detroit.
