EEB Thursday Seminar Series - Sentinels of global change: rapid responses of freshwater aquatic communities to warming temperatures, urbanization, and pollution
Michelle Tseng, University of British Columbia
This event is part of our ongoing Thursday Seminar Series.
About this seminar: Warming waters, frequent drought, and increased pollution are just a few of the challenges freshwater ecosystems face. In this presentation, I will share some recent findings on the rapid ecological and evolutionary responses of aquatic invertebrates to warming temperatures. I will also discuss how anthropogenic pollutants are reshaping and interspecific interactions like herbivory and competition in aquatic ecosystems.
