Directions to the Research Museums Center:
The Museum of Zoology is located south of the intersection of State Street and I-94 (exit 177, State Street) in the Research Museums Center at 3600 Varsity Drive, which also houses collections for the Herbarium, the Museum of Anthropology and the Museum of Paleontology.
1) From Central Campus -
By Car Go south on State Street; shortly after crossing I-94 take the round-about left onto Ellsworth Road; then after crossing the RR track, at the next traffic light, turn left onto Varsity Drive.
By AATA bus Take the no. 6 bus, which stops in front of the Michigan Union; get off at stop located at the intersection of Ellsworth Road and Varsity Drive; walk north ca. 1/2 mile on Varsity Drive.
2) From Detroit Metro Airport, go west on I-94 to exit 177 (State Street). Go south on State Street to the round-about and turn left on Ellsworth Road; then after crossing the RR track, at the next traffic light, turn left onto Varsity Drive.
Parking
The Research Museums Center is a university yellow tag permitted lot. Hours of enforcement is Monday - Friday 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Visitor parking can be found at the west end with a Central Payment machine located at the front entrance that accepts both credit cards and cash. Hourly rate is $1.50.
