Visiting

The U-M Museum of Natural History is currently closed as we move 4 billion years of natural history to the new Biological Science Building right next door. When the new Museum opens in 2019, it will be filled with interactive, hands-on, and minds-on exhibits that will engage visitors in discovering and participating in science!

The new Museum will offer:

  • New and favorite specimens and artifacts that will be reinterpreted with the most up-to-date science
  • Views into real working laboratories where U-M scientists are conducting research
  • Dome theater presentations on astronomy, biology, geology, archaeology, and more

Join our email list to learn where the museum will pop up in and around town while we are closed!
