Get your taste buds ready for some science! Join museum staff and University of Michigan researchers to discover how sugar and the senses affect our brains through a variety of hands-on experiments and activities. Can you tell the difference between real sugar and artificial sweeteners? Can you identify candy flavors with your nose plugged? Play games and learn about cutting-edge research from University of Michigan neuroscientists. Participants will receive the comic book, Sugar Buzz, to continue tasty explorations at home!

The Buzz on Sweet Foods is geared toward children ages 5-12 with their adult caregivers.

This program is funded in part by the National Science Foundation.
