While we can’t get together to celebrate birthdays yet, the U-M Museum of Natural History offers two ways to celebrate birthdays with friends and family with live virtual tours or live planetarium shows! Programs can be targeted for any age group.

Live Virtual Tours

Book a private, live, 60-minute virtual birthday tour of the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History. See some of our exhibits like the Bristle Mammoth, the Majungasaurus, the mastodons, and more. This program is limited to 15 devices.

Cost: $100 for members/$125 for nonmembers

Saturdays (Through June 30. More dates may be added later.)

  • 11:00 a.m. 
  • 1:00 p.m. 
  • 3:00 p.m.

Virtual Planetarium Shows

Fly through the night sky with a 45-minute live astronomy show geared towards the birthday girl or boy. (Adults welcome, too!) Choose between The Sky Tonight or The Solar System programs. The presenter can also highlight a favorite astronomical entity. This program is limited to 15 devices. 

Cost: $80 for members/$100 for nonmembers

Sunday afternoons (Through June 30. More dates may be added later.)

  • 3:00 p.m.
