This month ReConnect/ReCollect is hosting a two-week, paid residency at the University of Michigan for three visual artists–Maia Cruz Palileo, Francis Estrada, and Janna Añonuevo Langholz–to engage our Philippine collections, exploring the themes of archives, material history, decolonial praxis and restitution, and Filipino, Filipinx, and/or Indigenous identity.

On May 26, 4:30 PM, in North Quad 2435, ReConnect/ReCollect invites the community to a roundtable with the artist residents.

An exterior courtyard will be available and refreshments will be provided.

All are invited to engage with Maia, Francis, and Janna as they reflect on their exploration of UM’s Philippine collections.

This event is free and open to the public.
