Lisa Young drew her inspiration for the title of the November 14 lecture from this 1912 U-M sphinx menu, which contains lily stalks and pounded murphies.

On Thursday, November 14, Lisa C. Young, UMMAA research affiliate and lecturer in the U-M Department of Anthropology, will give a presentation on her research into the food system that fed University of Michigan students a century ago.

The lecture is at 7 p.m., in the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library, 1000 Beal Avenue, on the North Campus of the U-M. The talk is free and open to the public.
