The UMMAA is pleased to present Anisa Mara, doctoral candidate in the Department of Art History at the University of Toronto, who will speak on Friday, March 26, 12-1 p.m., as part of the virtual UMMAA Brown Bag Lecture Series.

Anisa Mara will discuss her research in north Albania in a talk entitled Scratch the Surface: The Analysis of Prehistoric Pottery Found in the Shkodër Region, North Albania. In her study, she used petrography and paradigmatic classification to examine the pottery excavated from three settlements and two tumuli in the Shkodër region, with the aim of answering questions related to provenance, production, and exchange patterns.
