After months of work, the redesign and upgrade of the Archaeology at Michigan website is now complete. Find the new website at https://lsa.umich.edu/archaeology.
This website gathers information about news and events in archaeology across many departments and units across the U-M campus. It also helps users find information on archaeology classes, degrees, and careers. It is one of the first websites people find when they search for the terms "archaeology" and "Michigan."
In 2023, several departments--including UMMAA, the Kelsey, the Department of Anthropology, the Department of Classical Studies, Middle East Studies, the Department of the History of Art, and the Interdepartmental Program in Ancient Mediterranean Art and Archaeology--decided to pool resources to fund the redesign and upgrade of the site, which was seriously out of date.
In the coming months, the designer will continue to update and expand the site. Comments and suggestions are welcome and may be sent to Julia at archaeology-admin@umich.edu.
