Mark Your Calendars! Giving BLUEDAY is coming!
The Museum of Anthropological Archaeology will once again be participating in the annual day of giving, Wednesday, March 10, 2021. We encourage both first-time and regular donors to make a contribution to the Museum on this day. There will be opportunities for matching funds and hourly challenges during the day. Your generous contributions will help support our students and graduate student research.
Traditionally, UMMAA archaeology graduate students gain field experience every summer on projects run by curators, colleagues of curators, and by fellow graduate students. In 2020, however, this process was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. No one went into the field during the summer of 2020. Most UMMAA students lost access to grant money, all have lost time and momentum, many are not sure if they will get back into the field in 2021. This year, we will use funds raised on Giving Blueday to support graduate student research, whether in the field (hopefully), the lab, or the collections. Your generous donation will help fund small grants to graduate students for research during the summer of 2021.
More information will be provided through social media and our Museum's website as the day approaches.
The University has funded social media challenges throughout the day. Use these opportunities to make your gift go even further.
